He then undertook 6 years of surgical training working in hospitals throughout West Sussex and Western Australia, before settling into General Practice at Pulborough Medical Group (PMG) where he was a partner for 12 years.

During this time, he extended his role, putting his surgical training to good use in primary care. He works for Sussex Community Dermatology Clinic and continues to undertake many of the minor skin surgical procedures at PMG. He is also an experienced vasectomy surgeon setting up the local service from Pulborough, and works as a Specialist Doctor in Urology at St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester.

His other main passion is sport, and he is a Racecourse Medical Doctor at Ascot, Windsor and Goodwood Racetracks. He is experienced in pitch-side care, and concussion assessment, working regularly at both local and professional level.

He believes fundamentally that we should protect our sportsmen and women enabling them to fulfil their career aspirations whilst optimising their personal wellbeing and long-term health. He is a member of the British Association of Sports and Exercise Medicine.

Guy enjoys endurance sports including cycling, running and triathlons. In 2018 he became a member of the Club des Cingles du Mont Ventoux (cycling 3 ascents of Ventoux in one day!).
