Skin Resurfacing

The pHformula dermatological treatment system is based on the technology of regenerative medicine, with the concept of creating controlled chemical skin resurfacing.

Completely different to conventional peels, this technology employs a unique delivery complex to ensure maximum delivery of actives, to provoke an accelerated form of cell regeneration, from the inside out.

Your tailor-made treatment will incorporate different ingredients to suit your specific needs, transforming your skin to optimum health.

FAQs

  • Your 45 minute treatment involves an assessment and skin permeability test to guide us in appropriate skin resurfacing program selection to suit you, on any particular day. Active solutions are then applied in a ‘layer and leave on’ technique; possible due to the fact that most of the pHformula actives are self-neutralising. By applying multiple layers, penetration of the actives is increased in a controlled manner.

  • Yes, depending on how your skin has been recently, the time of year, and results of the skin permeability test, we will customise each treatment to suit you. Different treatments can be combined, and the strength and depth controlled, based on the application technique and layers applied. In addition, a serum treatment may be added, and you will finish with a nourishing mask to relax and hydrate the skin.

  • Conventional peels strip the outer layer off the skin, and are classified according to their depth of penetration. By contrast, pHformula’s unique delivery complex allows for maximum strength formulations to be delivered direct to the different skin layers, whilst preserving integrity of the epidermis. This results in accelerated cell turnover and optimum skin regeneration, whilst reducing trauma and superficial irritation.  So, consistent results without the negative side effects often seen with more commonly used peels.

  • pHformula’s brand focus is simply about delivering high quality active ingredients in a scientifically proven manner. No unnecessary packaging. No fragrance. No gimmicks.

    Products have:

    • no added colour

    • no lanolin or mineral oil

    • non comedogenic

    • paraben-free

    • preservative system

  • The pHformula skin resurfacing treatments result in little or no downtime. Occasionally, you may experience some redness, tightness, superficial frosting or temporary dryness for a day or so, but most patients find their skin is smooth and radiant immediately following treatment.

  • The pHformula range includes different resurfacing actives to suit all different skin types – including chronic redness, rosacea, ageing, pigmentation, and acne, which is why assessment is so important prior to treatment. The ‘layer and leave on’ technique means we can start gently, and adjust the treatment according to how your skin responds. For optimal results, you would ideally commence on the homecare products to prepare your skin beforehand – this will be discussed at your consultation.

  • We ask you to refrain from extended UV exposure a week before and after your resurfacing treatment. This is because you skin will be more sensitive and your treatment less effective!

  • These areas are often forgotten and can be a tell-tale sign of our age. pHformula’s controlled resurfacing technology actively promotes an accelerated form of cell regeneration in all layers, brightening skin and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

  • Yes! Our popular TLC Eye Treatment combines pHformula resurfacing with nanoneedling to target dark circles, puffiness and crepey skin. This can be added on to any Resurfacing Facial, or as a stand alone treatment reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, revitalising for a brighter, fresher look.
